Namibian President in Gay Attack

The Namibian President says he wants lesbians and gays arrested, imprisoned
and deported. Sam Nujoma told regional leaders he doesnt want gays doing
what he described as "bad things". Speaking at Okahao in the Omusati
region Nujoma said they should be condemned by the whole nation. He said:
"Traditional leaders, governors see to it that there are no criminals,
gays and lesbians in your villages and regions.
"We ... have not fought for an independent Namibia that gives rights
to criminals, gays and lesbians to do their bad things here."
According to the Namibian, he also criticised people who fall in love with
foreigners, urging parents not to let their children sleep with them. This is
his second outburst against gays inside a fortnight. Last month he made a
similar speech to students in Windhoek.
