Plans for Anti-Gay Legislation

Namibia’s Home Affairs Minister Jerry Ekandjo has announced plans to introduce legislation to "curb the spread of homosexuality in society" by imposing heavy penalties, the Mail and Guardian newspaper in Johannesburg reported. While Namibia’s Constitution bars discrimination, President Sam Nujoma and others say homosexuality is inimical to Africa culture.
