Germany
- Statute: Paragraph 175
- Penalty: Repealed in 1968 in East Germany; in 1969 in
West Germany. Same-sex restrictions existed until 1989 in East Germany, until 1994 in
West Germany.
- Restrictions: None.
The age of consent in Germany, regulated by Article 182 StGB is 16, if
the "offender" is over 21 years old. However, the deed is pursued
only upon a motion (mostly submitted by parents of the "victim").
The sexual abuse on children (under 14) is regulated by Articles 176, 176a and
176b. The text (in German) can be accessed here: http://www.kindex.de/pro/index~mode~gesetze~value~stgb.aspx#176
