I have these words for people who oppose equal rights for everyone, including the right
to adopt children and to have private sexual activity between two consenting adults: Get
thee behind me, Satan.
To deny gay people the right to adopt children is based on sheer ignorance and
prejudice. Most pedophiles are, after all, straight people. If they are basing this policy
on the Bible, why aren't adulterers and fornicators denied as well?
The existing laws on sodomy should be overturned as well. Straight people, after all,
engage in sodomy, while not all gay people do. The laws are not enforced anyway.
Jesus never spoke a word against gay people, but he, not to mention the Ten
Commandments, did speak against adultery.
We were put on this earth by God to help each other, not put each other down. I further
believe that gays should be allowed to marry and suffer as the straight people who are
married do.
