Regency Health Club Owner Convicted
Gay Blade,
October 1971
David Harris, owner of the Regency Health Club, was recently convicted on a
charge of running a disorderly house. An earlier trial on the same charge
resulted in a hung jury. District Attorney Finnegan, who made the decision to
prosecute a second time, was the object of a GAA "zap" the day of
the trial because of his allegedly unfavorable remarks about homosexuality and
his refusal to reply to GAA requests for a meeting on the matter.

At this point, the Gay Blade did not have headlines. The headline
has been added for clarity and web navigation. -Bob Summersgill
